35. SHEPARD FAIRY RE-CREATION – Due Monday before class is over
Follow the steps in the tutorial, or come up with your own way to produce a Shepard Fairy Inspired portrait. Use one of your existing portraits or make a new image to use for this assignment. Below are some examples. Title your blog post “Shepard Fairy Re-Creation”
Research the work of artist Sandy Skoglund. Write a paragraph on your blog describing her original style and your opinion of it. Include your favorite image of hers in your blog post. Using an original photograph, find a subject online to reproduce multiple times within your image. Think of an original and descriptive name for your new piece and title it in the caption area, title your favorite image of hers in the caption area as Sandy Skoglund. Put this in a gallery with the two images and your writing below the images in the blog post. Title the blog post “Skoglund Re-Creation.”
37. Me and Myself – Due Wednesday before class is over
Read this link about the photographer that includes herself in childhood photos. https://www.demilked.com/double-self-portraits-chino-otsuka/ Bring in some photos from home and scan them into digital media. Then include yourself into the image with Photoshop. Include one image in your post titled “Me and Myself.”
Look at this levitation series: http://yowayowacamera.com/ and get inspired to produce a levitation series of your own. Use Photoshop to make your subject look as if they are levitating. Submit three levitation images in a gallery 3×1. Title your blog post “Levitation Series.
