Assignments September 8-10

11. Due Tuesday before class is over. Comment on your favorite four photos from the class for the principles of design or photo 2 choice. Please go through different student’s work to view more than four. Your comments need to include the photography and art language that we have talked about so far. This is not a one word or one sentence comment. Take your time and think about the other person’s work, what spoke to you, what did you like, what could be included to make the photo more dynamic, etc. Make sure that your comments are thought provoking and helpful. Type out your comments on four of your favorite photos on the blog. Then in Microsoft Word, copy each of your comments and the photo that you commented on, include the photographers name, and upload in Moodle under Principles of Design Comments.

12. ALTERNATIVE CAMERA ANGLES Photos Due Thursday before class is over

We will watch a video on camera angles and read the following article about alternative camera angles . Go outside in brighter light and take 4 photographs of the same subject from 4 different camera angles- straight on, from above, from below, and then tilt the camera at any of the other 3 angles. Keep your exposure the same on all 4 photos and make sure to keep the same subject in focus for all

Writing Due Wednesday –  Find one photo online which shows an interesting camera angle. Post it to your blog and  write a 5 sentence critique explaining why you think this is such a successful photograph- compositionally and technically, and why you chose it (make sure to pay attention to spelling, capitalization, and punctuation).
