8. Photomontage – Due Tuesday at the end of class

Photo Montage (Photomontage is a technique widely used by graphic designers and consists of cutting and joining multiple photographs in order to create a unique image, using graphic applications such as Photoshop. The idea here is to create the illusion that all of the photo elements are parts of the same photo. You can google it to get ideas)

You need to create the photo montage in Photoshop. You can use photos from the internet to create the montage, but you need to create it yourself. Your page needs to be set up as an 8×10. When you are done submit as a JPEG and title the image. This will be due by the end of class Tuesday. You will earn participation points each day that you are working on it. Blog post should be “Photomontage.” Below are examples.

9. Oxymoron Due Thursday at the end of class

An oxymoron is a figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms appear in conjunction (e.g., faith unfaithful kept him falsely true ).One famous oxymoron is the phrase “the same difference.” This phrase qualifies as an oxymoron because the words “same” and “difference” have completely opposite meanings. Therefore, bringing them together into one phrase produces a verbally puzzling, yet engaging, effect.
Create an image that is an oxymoron. Here are some example phrases that you can use to create an image. This needs to be at least 8×10. When you are done save it as a JPEG and title it the oxymoron that you used. Due Thursday, blog post should be “Oxymoron.”
